A New Record of an Alien Species Oenothera Indecora (Onagraceae) for the Flora of Iran

چکیده
Nowadays, adventive invasive species are among the most significant threats to biodiversity. In recent years, numerous imported plants exhibiting invasive behavior have been reported along the Caspian coasts, particularly in Guilan province. During a field mission aimed at collecting plant specimens from the Hyrcanian forests in Guilan province, Oenothera indecora Cambess. from the Onagraceae family was collected and identified for the first time in the Siahkalrud area of Chaboksar. This species is reported as a new record for the flora of Iran. Native to South America, it grows outside its native range and is now established as a neophyte in several tropical and subtropical areas. The most important morphological traits of this species have been compared with those of its closely related species, O. parodiana Munz. Additionally, information on the geographical distribution, photographs of the plant, habitat, and the species' distribution in the world and Iran are provided. Furthermore, this alien species was examined and compared in terms of some invasive aspects in the world and Iran.
Introduction
Nowadays, adventive invasive species are one of the most important threats to biodiversity (Mikeladze et al., 2017). In recent years, numerous imported plants with high invasive behavior have been reported from the Caspian coasts, especially in Guilan province (Moradi, 2021). Oenothera L. is the second-largest genus in Onagraceae and consists of 145 species (Wagner et al., 2007). These plants grow in temperate to subtropical areas of America, and many of them are widely naturalized in several areas of the earth (Dietrich, 1977). The genus comprises annual, biennial, or perennial herbs, many of which occur primarily or secondarily in open habitats, including old fields, roadsides, stream sides, or dunes (Dietrich, 1977). According to the flora of Iran, two species, including O. biennis and O. laciniata, grow in Iran (Azizian, 2005) and are naturalized alien species in the country. In the present study, O. indecora Cambess. is reported for the first time from Iran. O. indecora is a species belonging to the sect. Oenothera, subsect. Munzia ser. Allochroa, which includes species with cylindrical capsules that are rarely enlarged in the upper third or somewhat petiolate, and is not fused with the subtending bract (Dietrich, 1977). This species is native to South America (Dietrich, 1977) and grows outside its native range. It is now established as a neophyte in several tropical and subtropical areas (Crisafulli et al., 2013).
Materials and Methods
During a floristic study of the Hyrcanian forests, the species was collected from the Siahkalrud area of Chaboksar in Guilan province and deposited in the Guilan Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education Center. The specimen was examined and identified using the flora and relevant literature (Azizian, 2005; Dietrich, 1977; Crisafulli et al., 2013).
 
Results and Conclusions
Oenothera indecora Cambess.
Annual or biennial plants are unbranched or have ascending branches arising from the rosette, 20-60 cm tall. The entire plant is sparsely long-villous with erect hairs, densely to sparsely short-villous together glandular hairs. Rosette leaves are narrowly oblanceolate, acute, 4-8 cm long, and 0.2-1.3 cm wide. Cauline leaves are narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, acute, sessile, 2.5-7 cm long, and 0.2-1.2 cm wide. Bracts are narrowly elliptic to elliptic, sessile, and either longer than or about the same length as the capsules they subtend, 1.5-5 cm long, 0.2-1 cm wide; leaves plane or undulate at the margins, irregularly serrate with blunt teeth. The inflorescence is branched. The floral tube is 0.5-1.5 cm long. Sepals are green or yellowish green, often densely flecked with reddish brown; apices of the sepals are 1-1.5 mm long, and erect. Petals elliptic to obovate, yellow, turning reddish with age, 4-10 mm long. Anthers are 1.5-4 mm long. Filaments are 1.5- 7 mm long. The style is short 1-2 cm long. Stigma lobes are 1-2 mm long. Capsules are 2-3 cm long, 1.5-2.5 mm thick; seeds elliptic to rotund in outline.
 
Examined specimens
Iran. Guilan, Chaboksar, Siahkalrud forest road, near the river, 36° 58' 55.2" N, 50° 26' 13.83" E, 180 m, 27/07/1401 and 05/08/1401, Moradi & Mahdavi (GILAN-6956, 6966).
Habitats
The species was collected on the sandy soil near a river, amidst vegetation of Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn. subsp. barbata (C.A.Mey.) Yaltirik -Pterocarya fraxinifolia (Poir.) Spach. It is associated with other plants such as Geranium pyrenaicum Burm.f., Clinopodium nepeta (L.) Kuntze subsp. glandulosum (Req.) Govaerts, Sedum hispanicum L., Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop., Oxalis acetosella L., Artemisia annua L., Pimpinella affinis Ledeb., Erigeron canadensis L., Hypericum perforatum L., Eryngium caucasicum Fisch. ex Steud., Phytolaca Americana L., Setaria viridis (L.) P.Beauv.

indecora, is closely related to O. parodiana, however, it is distinguished from the latter by certain morphological features. For example, the length of the bracts in the O. indecora is almost the same length as the capsule or longer than it, while in the O. parodiana, they are half of the length of the capsule or shorter. O. indecora has glandular hairs, whereas O. parodiana does not. O. indecora is native to several countries in South America. In Europe, it is known as an alien species in the Netherlands, Hungary, France, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, and Spain (Yuzbasioglu, 2014), and it was recently reported from Italy (Crisafulli et al., 2013).

 
 
In a study related to the invasiveness of Oenothera species in South Africa, it was concluded that their propensity to invade undisturbed areas potentially makes them a more serious threat than species that occur exclusively in disturbed areas. According to this, O. rosea, O. Stricta, and O. Tetraptera, as well as O. parodiana and 0. Indecora, are the species that show the greatest potential to become more problematical in the future. O. indecora (native to South America), as a neophyte species that grows in low-altitude Hyrcanian forests, could be more invasive in the future than the two species O. biennis and O. laciniata that originate from North America. There are also previous reports from Iran (Azizian, 2005; Amini & Zare, 2003) that this species grows on the sand dunes of the Caspian Sea. There is a possibility of the presence of this species in other lowland Caspian forest areas under similar vegetation conditions which needs further investigation in this field.

مقدمه

امروزه گسترش گونه‌‌های مهاجم مهم‌‌ترین تهدید برای تنوع زیستی است (Mikeladze et al., 2017). سواحل دریای کاسپین به‌‌دلیل داشتن رطوبت زیاد و نداشتن یخبندان‌‌های زمستانی، دارای اقلیم مناسب برای استقرار و انتشار گونه‌‌های بیگانه است. در سال‌‌های اخیر، گونه‌‌های گیاهی بیگانۀ متعددی از سواحل دریای کاسپین، به‌‌ویژه استان گیلان گزارش شده است که برخی از آنها رفتارهای تهاجمی زیادی دارند (Moradi, 2021) مانند:

Sida rhombifolia L. (Amini et al., 2003), Amaranthus spinosus L. (Mohamadzadeh et al., 2005), Tagetes minuta L. (Naqinezhad & Saeidi Mehrvarz, 2007), Solanum sisymbriifolium (Eslami & Naqinezhad, 2010), Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Sloms (Mozaffarian & Yaghoubi, 2015), Ambrosia psilostachya DC. (Tokasi et al., 2017), Tagetes minuta L. (Naqinezhad & Saeidi Mehrvarz, 2007), Verbena brasiliensis Vell. (Moradi, 2021), Bidens frondosa L. (Moradi & Hamzehee, 2021).

Oenothera L. دومین سردۀ بزرگ تیرۀ گل مغربی Onagraceae است و 145 گونه دارد. گونه‌‌های این سرده به 18 بخش تقسیم می‌‌شود و پنج بخش آن دارای تقسیمات زیربخش است (Wagner et al., 2007). این گیاهان در نواحی معتدل تا نیمه‌‌گرمسیری آمریکا رویش دارند و بسیاری از آنها بومی مناطق مختلفی از کرۀ زمین شده‌‌اند (Dietrich, 1977) (شکل 1). این سرده دارای گیاهان علفی یک‌‌ساله و دوساله تا چندساله است. بسیاری از آنها در مناطق باز مانند مکان‌‌های قدیمی، کنار جاده‌‌ها، نهرها یا مناطق مخروبه وجود دارند. گونه‌‌های (Dietrich, 1977). O. biennis L. و Hill.(Syn. O. Sinuata L.)  O. laciniataاز تیرۀ گل مغربی در ایران رویش دارند(Amini & Zare, 2003; Azizian, 2005)  و گیاهان بومی‌‌شدۀ شمال کشور هستند. دو گونۀ یادشده با منشأ آمریکای شمالی، در بخش Oenothera و زیربخش Oenothera قرار می‌‌گیرند. در این پژوهش، O. indecora Cambess. برای نخستین‌‌بار از ایران گزارش می‌‌شود. این گونه به بخش Oenothera، زیربخش Allochroa و سری  Munziaتعلق دارد، دارای گونه‌‌هایی با کپسول استوانه‌‌ای است و به‌‌ندرت در یک‌‌سوم فوقانی حجیم یا تاحدودی پایک‌‌دار می‌‌شود؛ همچنین در قاعده فاقد جوش‌‌خوردگی با برگه است (Dietrich, 1977). این گونۀ بومی آمریکای جنوبی، درحال حاضر در خارج از محدودۀ رویش طبیعی، به صورت نئوفیت در مناطق مختلف گرمسیری و نیمه‌‌گرمسیری استرالیا، آفریقا و اروپا استقرار دارد (Crisafulli et al., 2013).

مواد و روش‌‌ها

طی مأموریت‌‌های میدانی مربوط به جمع‌‌آوری نمونه‌‌های گیاهی از جنگل‌‌های هیرکانی در استان گیلان، این گونه برای نخستین‌‌بار از منطقۀ سیاهکلرود چابکسر جمع‌‌آوری شد (شکل 2) و در هرباریوم مرکز تحقیقات و آموزش کشاورزی و منابع طبیعی گیلان نگهداری می‌‌شود. نمونۀ جمع‌‌آوری‌‌شده با استفاده از منابع فلور و مقالات مربوط بررسی و شناسایی شد (Dietrich, 1977; Azizian, 2005; Crisafulli et al., 2013).

نتایج و بحث

شرح گیاه‌‌شناسی

Oenothera indecora Cambess.

گیاهی یک‌‌ساله یا دوساله، با برگ‌‌های طوقه‌‌ای، فاقد انشعاب یا دارای شاخه‌‌های افراشتۀ برخاسته از طوقه و به طول 20 تا 60 سانتی‌‌متر است. سراسر گیاه پوشیده از کرک‌‌های پشمی بلند پراکنده همراه با کرک‌‌های راست، کرک‌‌های پشمی کوتاه متراکم و کرک‌‌های غده‌‌ای است. برگ‌‌های طوقه‌‌ای واژنیزه‌‌ای باریک، به‌‌تدریج یا یک‌‌باره باریک‌‌شونده به سمت دمبرگ، به طول 4 تا 8 سانتی‌‌متر و به عرض 2/0 تا 3/1 سانتی‌‌متر است. برگ‌‌های ساقه‌‌ای بیضوی باریک تا نیزه‌‌ای، نوک‌‌تیز، باریک‌‌شونده در قاعده، بدون دمبرگ، به طول 5/2 تا 7 سانتی‌‌متر و به عرض 2/0 تا 2/1 سانتی‌‌متر است. برگه‌‌ها بیضوی باریک تا بیضوی، بدون دمبرگ، بلندتر یا هم‌‌اندازۀ طول کپسول، به طول 5/1 تا 5 سانتی‌‌متر و به عرض 2/0 تا 1 سانتی‌‌متر است. برگ‌‌ها مسطح یا در حاشیه مواج و دندانه‌‌اره‌‌ای نامنظم نوک‌‌کند است. گل آذین ساقه‌‌ای است. لولۀ جام گل به طول 5/0 تا 5/1 سانتی‌‌متر است. جوانه‌‌ها کشیده تا بیضوی، به طول 2/0 تا 8/0 سانتی‌‌متر و ضخامت 5/1 تا 4 میلی‌‌متر است. کاسبرگ‌‌ها سبز یا سبز قهوه‌‌ای، اغلب دارای لکه‌‌های قهوه‌‌ای متمایل به قرمز، نوک کاسبرگ‌‌ها به طول 1 تا 5/1 میلی‌‌متر و راست است. گلبرگ‌‌ها بیضوی تا واژ‌‌تخم‌‌مرغی، زرد، تبدیل‌‌شونده به قرمز با افزایش سن و به طول 4 تا 10 میلی‌‌متر است. بساک‌‌ها به طول 5/1 تا 7 میلی‌‌متر است. میلۀ پرچم‌‌ها به طول 5/1 تا 7 میلی‌‌متر است. خامه کوتاه و به طول 1 تا 2 سانتی‌‌متر است. لُب‌‌های کلاله به طول 1 تا 2 میلی‌‌متر است. کپسول به طول 2 تا 3 سانتی‌‌متر و به ضخامت 5/1 تا 5/2 میلی‌‌متر است. دانه‌‌ها بیضوی تا گرد، به طول 7/0 تا 3/1 میلی‌‌متر و به ضخامت 3/0 تا 5/0 میلی‌‌متر است.

 

نمونه‌‌های جمع‌‌آوری‌‌شده

ایران، گیلان، چابکسر، جادۀ جنگلی سیاهکلرود، نزدیک رودخانه، 55/2" 58' ° 13/83" N: 36 26'  E: 50° ، 180 متر، 27/07/1401 و 05/08/1401، مرادی و مهدوی، 6966 و 6956 (GILAN) (شکل‌‌3).

این گونه از درون تیپ رویشی توسکای قشلاقی Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn. subsp. barbata (C.A.Mey.) Yaltirik - لرگ Pterocarya fraxinifolia (Poir.) Spach حاشیۀ رودخانۀ سیاهکلرود از روی خاک‌‌های شنی جمع‌‌آوری شد (شکل 3). سایر گونه‌‌های همراه رویش‌‌یافته در رویشگاه عبارت بودند از:

Geranium pyrenaicum Burm.f., Clinopodium nepeta (L.) Kuntze subsp. glandulosum (Req.) Govaerts, Sedum hispanicum L., Digitaria sanguinalis(L.) scop., Oxalis acetosella L., Artemisia annua L., Pimpinella affinis Ledeb., Erigeron canadensis L., Hypericum perforatum L., Eryngium caucasicum Fisch. ex Steud., Phytolaca americana L., Setaria viridis (L.) P.Beauv.

  1. indecora گونۀ خویشاوند نزدیک به O. parodianaمحسوب می‌‌شود؛ ولی ازنظر برخی صفات ریخت‌‌شناسی تفاوت‌‌هایی وجود دارد؛ مانند طول برگه‌‌ها که در گونۀ O. indecora به‌‌طور تقریبی هم‌‌اندازه با کپسول یا بلندتر از آن و در O. parodiana نصف طول کپسول یا کوتاه‌‌تر از آن است؛ همچنین O. indecora دارای کرک‌‌های غده‌‌ای و O. parodiana فاقد آن است.
  2. indecora بومی برخی از کشورهای آمریکای جنوبی است. این گیاه در اروپا، گونه‌‌ای بیگانه از کشورهای هلند، مجارستان، فرانسه، آلمان، بلژیک و اسپانیا شناخته می‌‌شود (Yuzbasioglu, 2014) و اخیراً از ایتالیا گزارش شده است (Crisafulli et al., 2013). طبق نتایج پژوهشی مربوط به بررسی مهاجم‌‌بودن گونه‌‌های سردۀ Oenothera در آفریقای جنوبی (Frean et al., 1997)، گونه‌‌هایی که به مناطق دست‌‌نخورده تهاجم می‌‌کنند، به‌‌طور بالقوه عامل تهدید جدی‌‌تری هستند نسبت به گونه‌‌هایی که تنها در مناطق آشفته بومی می‌‌شوند. بر این اساس، گونه‌‌های O.rosea، O.stricta و O. tetraptera و همچنین گونه‌‌های O.parodiana و O. indecora بیشترین پتانسیل را برای مشکل‌‌سازشدن در آینده نشان می‌‌دهند. چنین نتیجه‌‌ای تعمیم‌‌پذیر برای گونه‌‌های Oenothera در ایران است. O. indecora )بومی آمریکای جنوبی(، گونۀ نئوفیت رویش‌‌یافته در جنگل‌‌های کم‌‌ارتفاع هیرکانی در این پژوهش، در آینده ممکن است قابلیت تهاجمی بیشتری نسبت به دو گونۀ O. biennis و O. laciniata با منشأ آمریکای شمالی مربوط به گزارش‌‌های قبلی از ایران(Amini & Zare, 2003; Azizian, 2005) (روی ماسه‌‌زارهای حاشیۀ دریای کاسپین می‌‌رویند) داشته باشد. به‌‌طور احتمالی، این گونه در شرایط رویشی مشابه در سایر مناطق جنگلی پست کاسپینی نیز حضور دارد؛ اما به بررسی بیشتری در این زمینه نیاز است.
